Sergio Mora-Diaz

Explora las tecnologías digitales y la luz como mediadores entre el espacio físico, la naturaleza, el cuerpo y la percepción humana. A través de instalaciones inmersivas y sistemas interactivos, investiga cómo la imagen y la experiencia tecnológica pueden expandir nuestra comprensión del entorno y generar nuevas formas de diálogo entre lo orgánico y lo digital.
Graduado de Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, sus obras han sido exhibidas internacionalmente en espacios y festivales como New York Hall of Science, Lincoln Center y ZAZ10 Times Square en Nueva York; FILE Festival en São Paulo, Brasil; Festival de la Imagen en Manizales, Colombia; Art + Bits Festival en Katowice, Polonia; Scienceworks en Melbourne, Australia; Miyashita Park en Tokio, Japón; y el K Museum of Contemporary Art en Seúl, Corea del Sur, además de instituciones como el Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral, Matucana 100, el Teatro Municipal de Santiago y el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo en Santiago de Chile.
Su interés por los cruces interdisciplinarios lo ha llevado a colaborar en proyectos que vinculan las artes escénicas y las ciencias, participando en programas de investigación y experimentación artística como el Choreographic Coding Lab de The Forsythe Company y el Virtual Reality Lab del Samsung Global Innovation Center, además de trabajar junto a instituciones como Georgia Institute of Technology y compañías como BalletCollective y Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre.

Explores the role of digital technologies and light as mediators between physical space, nature, the body, and human perception. Through immersive installations and interactive systems, he investigates how imagery and technological experience can expand our understanding of the environment and generate new forms of dialogue between the organic and the digital.
A graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Mora-Díaz’s work has been exhibited internationally in venues and festivals such as the New York Hall of Science, Lincoln Center, and ZAZ10 Times Square in New York City, as well as the FILE Festival in São Paulo, Brazil; the Festival de la Imagen in Manizales, Colombia; the Art + Bits Festival in Katowice, Poland; Scienceworks in Melbourne, Australia; Miyashita Park in Tokyo, Japan; and the K Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, South Korea.
His pieces have also been featured in institutions such as the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral, Matucana 100, the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Santiago, Chile.His interest in interdisciplinary intersections has led him to collaborate on projects linking the performing arts and sciences, participating in research and artistic experimentation programs such as the Choreographic Coding Lab of The Forsythe Company and the Virtual Reality Lab of the Samsung Global Innovation Center.
